Which author's book should I buy for ACCA?

Image result for choosing books

There are three books which are approved by the ACCA.
1. BPP 2. Kaplan 3.Becker

Each book has its own differences.

BPP
BPP text books are really detailed & in depth. You might sometimes study things which might not be tested. But if you want to know the real subject then you should go for BPP.
Kaplan
Kaplan Text Books are also lengthy that's because they have bigger font & hugh line spacing :). So don't be fooled if they have 400-700 pages. They are easy to study but don't expect questions as easy as given in Kaplan text books.
Becker:
I am unable to comment on Becker, as I have not used it
Verdict:
For F1 to F3. I would suggest you study from Kaplan, as its easy & student friendly.
Beyond F5 , Go for BPP. Spent time to understand the subject. But do download the past exam papers available on ACCA website and also buy BPP revision kit.

Should I study ACCA after doing B.Com or along with B.Com?

Benefits of doing ACCA along with  B.com It takes an average of 3–4 years to complete all ACCA papers. Hence if you start studying for ACCA from first year of BCom, then you cam complete ACCA after one year of completing BCom. Your only job might be to study while you are in college, hence you could fully concentrate on your studies alone. Its very easy to clear BCom, so dont waste time by lying to yourself that you are studying BCom. Enroll for ACCA. You can try in BCom itself, if ACCA suits you. If you feel its too tough or boring. You can quit & try something else like marketing, government exams, IAS or go for a job etc. Once you complete all the papers, you can go for a full time job & then submit experience (PER) for three years . You will become ACCA then only. Benefits of doing ACCA after  B.com Its not that easy to clear ACCA, as its a professional course, so put in your hard work. You have to sacrifice your play time.
