Should I study ACCA after doing B.Com or along with B.Com?

Benefits of doing ACCA along with B.com
  1. It takes an average of 3–4 years to complete all ACCA papers. Hence if you start studying for ACCA from first year of BCom, then you cam complete ACCA after one year of completing BCom.
  2. Your only job might be to study while you are in college, hence you could fully concentrate on your studies alone.
  3. Its very easy to clear BCom, so dont waste time by lying to yourself that you are studying BCom. Enroll for ACCA.
  4. You can try in BCom itself, if ACCA suits you. If you feel its too tough or boring. You can quit & try something else like marketing, government exams, IAS or go for a job etc.
  5. Once you complete all the papers, you can go for a full time job & then submit experience (PER) for three years . You will become ACCA then only.
Benefits of doing ACCA after B.com
  1. Its not that easy to clear ACCA, as its a professional course, so put in your hard work. You have to sacrifice your play time.
  2. There is an option in ACCA that if you have cleared BCom you get exemption for F1 - F4, 4 papers. (Please check if this option is available in your country).
  3. You can go for part time work while studying BCom & claim experience (PER) for 1.5 years. Balance 1.5 years you have to work, then submit experience (PER) & You will become ACCA then only.
